Speaker Bios: Robert represents mid-market and large enterprise companies in privacy and security matters involvi ng information technology. He is counsel to some of the world’s largest banks and healthcare organizations. His expertise includes intellectual property licensing, risk management, data privacy, and outsourcing. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy from Austin College and his juris doctorate degree from the Hofstra University School of Law.

Presentation Summary: On the surface, cloud agreements are similar to traditional technology licensing and services agreements; however, cloud computing engagements expose both the client and the service provider to risks not present in more traditional technology transactions. At the top of the list of unique cloud risks are the legislative topics-du-jour: privacy and security regulatory compliance. Robert J. Scott, Managing Partner, of Scott & Scott, LLP, will share suggestions on how each party can mitigate, balance or otherwise eliminate the privacy and security risks in cloud computing.
